Since the nameplate could include a photograph, I used it as a signage for the pet at my home. It was of very good quality leaving me very satisfied.
Only wish that a preview with photo uploaded could be seen before placing the order. It would be nice.

Picture printing not satisfactory.
You shd perhaps offer more wood polish options -- mahogany, dark wood etc. - to go with the doors & add chain at back for hanging on hook / nail
It's uniqueness makes it more special.

The name plate used to be engraved earlier. And now it's just a print. I had bought so many from them earlier over many years. So not worth it anymore. This was my last buy.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We would like to inform you, why we have discontinued Engraving products for our customers -
1. We offered engraving on wood for 10+ years. One thing we observed is that engraving fades over 3-4 year period. This is because the engraved area gets exposed to the vagaries of weather. And over time the dust/moisture attaches itself to the exposed wood fibers.
2. We later introduced waterproofing (PU coating) on the wood. And while that offers a good solution, it reduces the contrast between the lettering and name. The results were also not great for nameplates which had a photo-engraving.
3. Since engraving relies on burning the wood to create a dark colour, the darkness that is obtained varies from piece to piece. Depending on the wood, some nameplates may have a lighter engraving - which may not be ideal for readability.
4. Hence our decision to move to printing using cured inks that are guaranteed not to fade for decades. We have also explained this in our FAQs section: https://housenama.com/pages/faqs#lettering-process
5. We tested out print vs engraving for 100 customers by asking them to choose from both - before launching Housenama. 87 customers opted to keep printed name plate and returned the engraved one.
Since you prefer the engraved one, we will send you the same name plate with engraving at no extra cost. You can then choose to retain the one you prefer.
